Why Fit Makes All the Difference
Imagine this scene: The music is perfect, the bottle is ready, and you’re all set for a great session. You screw on your shiny new Booster Cap… only to find that it doesn’t fit. Nothing kills the mood faster than a loose cap or a leaky bottle.
Sure, you can still sniff straight from the bottle, but it’s not the same. A booster cap takes the experience to a whole new level: cleaner, safer, and with an extra kick. The trick is simple: make sure it actually fits the thread size of your bottle.
What Do We Mean by Thread Size
Every Poppers bottle has a threaded neck: the spiral grooves onto which the cap or sniffer is screwed. The catch? There’s no universal standard. A 25-ml bottle of Jungle Juice might not have the same threading as a 24-ml Zurich bottle.
The right size means your Booster Cap fits securely on the bottle: no wobbling, no leaking, no slipping during use. With so many variations, that’s easier said than done. And since you can’t try out Booster Caps before buying them, we’ve put everything together for you.
Why the Wrong Fit Ruins the Fun
Not having the right fit isn’t just uncomfortable—it can also ruin your bottle and your fun.
- Weaker effect: Bad airflow means weaker hits.
- Slipping: A loose sniffer slipping mid-huff is a recipe for disaster.
- Leaks: The wrong fit leaks and wastes product.
- Faster Oxidation: A loose seal lets air in, causing your Poppers to lose their potency.
- Stress and Cracks: Mis-threading stresses the glass or cracks the sniffer itself.
Translation, the wrong fit equals wasted money and wasted pleasure.
Bottles: Similar, But Not the Same
At a glance, bottles look identical. In reality, the details make all the difference:
- Material differences: Aluminum bottles tend to use different threads than glass bottles.
- Brand Differences: A square Jungle Juice Retro 25ml threaded cap has nothing in common with a Zurich 24ml threaded cap.
- Regional differences: European versus Canadian bottling standards can significantly alter the threading.
That’s why there isn’t a “one-size-fits-all booster cap” for bottles. If you like variety, you might need more than one Booster Cap—not by accident, but on purpose. If you use different brands during your sessions, it makes sense (and is normal) to have more than one Booster Cap in your kit.
From XXS to XL
To make things easier, we have mapped out a clear system. There are six different thread sizes (XXS, XS, S, M, L, and XL). Each corresponds to a group of bottles:
- XXS: found on Skull bottles with a 24 ml capacity.
- XS: Available in our new, elegant 10-ml aluminum bottles that fit in your pocket.
- S: the most common size; fits many standard bottles with capacities of 10 ml, 24 ml, and 30 ml (including the Iron Fist Aluminum 10 ml + 24 ml).
- M: Found on Lockerroom’s tall glass bottles (Tall Bottles). These include, for example, Highrise Tall. M Sniffers will be available later this year!
- L: found on retro square 25 ml bottles from Lockerroom.
- XL: the biggest thread size found in 30 ml aluminum bottles (Lockerroom, Royal Hexagon).
Take a look at the table below to understand it better.
Spotlight on The XTRM Kinky SNFFR (Size S)
Since most bottles use an S thread, one of the most popular choices is the XTRM Kinky SNFFR Leakproof. It is not just about fit: it is about performance:
- A 5-channel airflow system for stronger hits.
- Push-button release: press to huff, release to seal.
- 100% leakproof thanks to its integrated sealing ring.
- Built in one piece for durability.
- Fits 10 ml and 30 ml glass bottles from Lockerroom, all Shelbora bottles, and the 10 ml/24 ml Oxymoron bottles.
